The amount of time we spend in our seats and on our devices at work and in our daily life presents a modern day conundrum.  Technological advances continue to make our lives more efficient and organized, yet our engagement with that technology can take a massive toll on our bodies.  Pain and discomfort resulting from sitting for long periods of time, habitual positioning and repetitive movement is at an all time high.  We believe that taking time for daily maintenance is not a luxury. These workshops provide instruction tailored to focus on specific areas of the body most often  impacted by our modern day working (and living) environments.  Participants will learn a variety of tools and techniques for incorporating self-care and movement practices into their daily routine.

Tension Tamer

Create awareness and necessary strength to establish and maintain good posture at the keyboard or in the production environment.  Relieve tension in the upper back and neck with targeted stretches and Yoga Tune Up® therapy ball rolling techniques. Re-establish optimal posture and positioning with corrective exercises and functional movement practices.

Revive Your Nine to Five

Improve performance and energize your body and mind with an array of postures and exercises to incorporate throughout the workday and get the most out of your break time.

It’s All in the Wrists

The wrists and hands endure a great deal of stress while at work at the computer or on a mobile device. Prolonged use can lead to shoulder and neck tension, carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive motion injuries. This workshop details regular self-care strategies and approaches to care for your hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.

Be Hip to Your Hips (and low back)

The hips play an important role in how we position our pelvis, feel in our low back and the way in which we carry the spine.  Learn key practices to optimize your positioning, improve your movement patterns and reduce pain.
